3. Qla, Mehrauli

Located in Qutub Minar area of Mehrauli, it is situated away quietly in the historic Qutub Kila compound, This bar over the years has acquired legendary status amongst the elite fun loving Delhi crowd, basically due to its extravagant live bands and gigs.

Spanning a spacious bar, dance floor, live band arena and an open terrace soon to be converted into a restaurant, the bar poses more as a hub for the avid music and alcohol enthusiast, than as just a bar, evident from its sheer scale of unreserved luxury.

From the warm welcome and luxurious decor, to the mood-enhancing music, to the menu rich with novel creations, to the polite and efficient service, to the remarkably reasonable price (considering what you get), this restaurant deserves full marks. Instead of the sort of fish you usually get in Delhi, which ranges from firm to rubbery, the Singaporean cod was melt-in-your-mouth soft and full of flavor. Likewise, the chicken in the chicken salad was unbelievably tender —  and wonderfully delicious. The double-chocolate dessert cake is generously sized and generously rich. The selection of four amuse bouches include a delectable red pepper fizz, a tasty wakame (seaweed) fritter, and my dining companion’s favorite, a concoction of green apple.

Europen, Italian and Spanish cuisines are served here.

“Have a beer, grab a pizza and dance the night away at Bulldogs. The staff are at your call, the food is not too heavy and the music and dancing keep the night going. A great place to both hang with friends and dance”, that’s how a guy describes the place.

Spread across three floors, the place offers an option to choose between the lounge like seating or the outdoor terrace. In a place like Hauz Khas Village where there are dozens of options to choose from, what makes Bulldogs stand out is their food is scrumptious–
The sumptomous  food they offer is truly their USP.
There is a wide range of options to choose from. You can order chicken tikka, tenderloin steak and Nachos along with red wine sangria. The food is absolutely great when it comes to quality, taste and quantity. The steak isslightly overdone, so it is a little dry and tough, but other than that everything else is spot on. The mashed potatoes, the grilled vegetables, the salad, the jus, are delicious and the sangria paired quite well with the steak.
The chicken tikka is flavourful and succulent. The Nachos are crunchy and generously loaded.

7. Olive Bar & Kitchen

Olive Bar & Kitchen is located just behind the Qutub Minar complex on the main mehrauli road. It is a huge place and they offer you valet parking. Olive bar is a name that precedes itself. A Colonial building decorated in a refined yet relaxed style and serving a mix of Italian favourites, this place is just the perfect spot for celebration of something special. Got a big date to plan, head here!

You visit only once and it is pretty sure that you will fall in love with the place, as much for its gourmet menu as for the stunning setup. Characteristic white walls, pebbled courtyard under a canopy of Banyan tree, traces of olive green- blue upholstery, the open wood fire pizza oven, immediately casts an enchanting spell as one walks inside the restaurant.  The service is good and the food is extremely well done for the chef has an eye for detail.

If you are a non veg lover, do try their Non veg platter, sea food soup, and they have some amazing pasta too. The staff is helpful and cheerful, they helped their guests in choosing menus. The outdoor seating is meant to enjoy the winters. End your meal with Thiramisu, it’s amazing.

Upon seating one receives complimentary bread with herb butter. We were in a mood of having a cheese platter and that was just extraordinary. Premium quality ingredients! 4 types of cheese with a variety of tart grapes, apples, tamarind.. Its one of the best platters you ever have had. The deconstructed lemon tart with its lemon espuma, gel, meringue and sorbet will leave your palate titillating for more. What a superlative of a dessert.

8. Parikrama, Connaught Place, New Delhi

Parikrama is located on the 24th floor of Antriksh Bhawan, which is a fairly old building in the area.

The floor is probably a disc, that moves at a very very sedate pace, that you don’t realise that you are moving until your position changes after 10 minutes. There are boards on the wall that indicate Delhi’s iconic spots you can spot through the window, but the smog and surrounding buildings didn’t really make it a big attraction.

There’s a great choice of flavours. The staff is very friendly and the food is absolutely the best you can have. Tasty food, very attentive, professional service. Can not fault it. We have been there several times, they keep their standard up!

Their Indian food is better than Chinese one, however its not the best Mughlai or North Indian , in fact we think they have plenty of room for improvement . Over all the 360 rotation makes this place makes it unique.

 9. Lodi – The Garden Restaurant

Amongst the hustle-bustle of the busy town, you will find this wonderfully quiet and appalling place to spend some quality time with your friends and family. This place is very nicely decorated and is right beside the lush lodhi gardens. You can have a walk in the garden and then have your food. The food is a mix of indian, spanish and italian. They also have few canopies for couples. This place looks magnificent at night under dim lights. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We suggest you go for the outdoor seating.

The ambience is beautiful, specially on a sunny Sunday morning. They have variety of seating options. Their cocktails are tasty and are decently potent. Their food is quite good. We ordered the cheese platter and the charred grilled platter. However, the prices are on the higher side.

10. Tonino, M G Road (Mehrauli), New Delhi

Loved everything about this place. The decor, the service, the food. The bread basket served with chopped olives was delicious. You can try a platter with mini steak, lamb chops, pork sausages – the meat will be cooked perfectly and serve soft and juicy. The grilled prawns go well with the barbeque sauce and the smoked salmon crostini are yummy. You can get the meal wrapped up with the flourless chocolate cake topped with caramel ice cream. The only drawback are the bellinis which is a not-so-smooth Sula Brut for base…

Tonino restaurant delhi

The best place to come with your loved ones.Lovely cozy atmosphere.Light music suitable for perfect dining experience.Thin crust pizzas are always super here. Good Service with smiles. The Decore of this place makes it different and unique with perfect Food and services.

If you’re looking forward to a beautiful and serene place to woo your special someone or wish to savour your meal amidst surreal surroundings, then this is your destination. A massive bungalow encircled by a neatly maintained garden which is lit up well sets in the mood. Walk in and one encounters a visual treat with their plush interiors, yellow lighting, king sized rooms, choicest of furniture and a lavish setup all around. This is probably one major reason why you end up paying a bomb.

Staff and service is an aspect which speaks volumes and Tonino has that covered. Their service is spotless. Noting down the order, recommending the right set of dishes and subsequently serving the food well in time are important parameters apart from carrying a warm smile on the face and the staff here do it to perfection. An elaborate menu meets the eye and picking out a few dishes isn’t the easiest of tasks.
